Tzav
The Parsha of Tzav continues the presentation of the laws of Temple Service, beginning with the Terumas HaDeshen, the first procedure in the daily schedule of the Temple: a shovelful of ashes would be lifted from atop the Copper Altar and placed on the ground, where it would be miraculously swallowed by the earth.
The dedication of the Tabernacle begins. Aaron and his sons immerse themselves in a Mikvah; Moses clothes them in priestly garments and anoints them with Shemen HaMishcha, the sacred oil.
